Services today: I will reserve commenting about today until later. Except to say that today went exactly the way Kristi would have wanted to. I just wanted to open up a posting for people to have the opportunity to comment.

I'm so glad I can continue to serve her in a mighty way!! Balloon release was spectacular and I was honored to be a part of it. Thank you Ryan & family for opening your heart to all of us! I'm still in to do those birthday cakes no matter what! Enjoy your family while they are here and anything and I mean anything you need for those kids, I'm there with my kids. Any questions are not to big or to small I can't help with the kids or come right over! We love you and we are here for the long haul :) Thank you Devore Shores family for Bringin it for all of us today. Your courage can not be matched!!!! Amen Kristi :)

Today was amazing in every way. What a testimony to her life and her love for the Lord and people. I heard that 950 people filled Celebration Church today to celebrate Kristi's life and her legacy that lives on. I am so blessed to know this family and feel the love that the so effortlessly give. I love you all so much.

Ryan,
I wasn't able to be there today, but I have been thinking of & praying all day for you & your family. It sounds like today went as you wanted and thus a blessing. I was glad to hear about the balloons. What a beautiful symbol. My girls send a balloon to their Dad on special occasions and at times when they want to feel close. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to celebrate Kristi's life with her friends and family today. The service was beautiful, just like Kristi. It was great to see so many people there. We'll all miss her, but what an impact she had in her 39 years here! I can't wait to see her again. Until then, the only way I can remember her is with a beautiful smile upon her face. And Ryan, I will never forget what an outstanding and loving husband you were to her. I will continue to pray for you and your family and the journey you are now on. God bless you!

It was a poignant honor to be there for this celebration of a beautifully and honorably lived life. Kerri's words of Kristi echo my own so well...she is a woman to be praised and of great value (and I use "is" and not "was" because she still "is" all God made her to be - just in a different form and in a different place). I am honored to know her and have served with her in God's house. May we all transition out of this life and into the next having left God's indelible mark on the lives of others.

Today was a beautiful tribute to Kristi's life and testimony. I did not know until yesterday what had happened ... so sorry! I feel blessed to have known her and you all as a family. The pictures are just beautiful. I still remember her cheering the boys on loudly at out basketball games with Coach Greg, and her awesome basketball cake at one of the end-of-season parties :) She was truly a blessing to all and we will continue to lift you up in our prayers.

Her service today was beautiful Ryan. I know she was pleased. An added bonus was the chance to hear Kristi sing one more time. That was wonderful.
Thank you for sharing your fabulous wife with us. She will be missed so much. Thank you for being the kind of husband that made God proud. There were no worries where she was concerned, we all knew you were taking the greatest and most tender care of her. She adores you, and through this trial I can see why. You have been a pillar of strength for her and that is more valuable than anything anyone else could have offered her. She said it over and again how she was only as good as she was because of you. What a testimony to you. We love you all Ryan......and we will still be here for you through the next chapter.

Thank you Ryan and family for allowing us to be part of your lives and to serve you today! what an honor to meet the Shores/DeVore families! My heart has truly been touched and inspired by your faith, love and strength! I know the journey ahead is unchartered, but The Master will surely lead you and when you cannot walk in your own strength, He will carry you. Thank all of you for what you taught us over these past weeks. You, Jonathan, David, Elizabeth, Mr and Mrs DeVore, Joy, Leigh and David and the many other family members will be in my heart and my prayers in the days and months to come. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman today! Proverbs 31 woman. She is rare. But we had the pleasure of knowing and loving one. Kristi Devore Shores. Thank you too Diva, for showing us how a life well lived in Jesus is done.
